Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have cramps and spasms in my left ankle. The joint locks and I have to put my.full body weight on and try to walk it out. The same leg has altered pain reception going up posterior side of my leg. This same leg has to be picked up and lifted when getting in my vehicle. It only.happens at rest. I sleep in my tennis shoes and this sometimes helps. One MD says it s rls, another says it s nerve damage from L3-5 fussion. I disagree with both.
As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
